Did you know that Opal Lee, the "Grandmother of Juneteenth," is a proud UNT alumna? Even after Juneteenth was officially made a national holiday in 2021, Lee said she wasn't done devoting her life to advocacy and the greater good.

"I feel like a lady who's got a whole lot left to do," Lee said. "I'm not gonna rest on my laurels."
